Dual-channel PROFIBUS DP-V1 master module compatible with AC800M controllers. It supports bus line redundancy, module redundancy and hot swapping. It connects the controller to PROFIBUS slave devices including variable frequency drives, remote I/Os and instruments to deliver high-speed real-time fieldbus communication, meeting the demands of high-reliability continuous production conditions.

Description

CI854BK01 is a dedicated fieldbus communication card for the ABB AC800M control system. It is equipped with two independent RS485 PROFIBUS DP-V1 channels and acts as a DP master to manage all slave devices on the bus.

Bus Functions: It supports both cyclic process data exchange of DP (Class 1) and acyclic parameter reading/writing & device diagnosis of DP-V1 (Class 2), and is compatible with all standard PROFIBUS slave devices.
Redundancy Capability: Its dual ports support line redundancy (the two buses of a single module back each other up). Dual modules installed in the same rack can realize master module redundancy, which can build a fully redundant DCS system together with redundant CPUs and the CEX bus.
Maintenance Features: Hot swapping is supported, allowing module replacement without system shutdown. On-board LED indicators display power status, bus activity and fault alarms in real time for rapid communication fault localization.
System Compatibility: It can be installed in racks with all AC800M CPUs (PM858, PM861, PM865, etc.). It conducts high-speed data interaction with the controller via the CEX backplane bus, and a single CEX bus can accommodate up to 12 CI854BK01 modules.
Safety Certifications: It complies with SIL2 functional safety, CE, UL508 and ATEX Zone 2 explosion-proof certifications, and is applicable to process industrial scenarios with high safety requirements.
