Description
The Allen‑Bradley 1753-L32BBBM-8A is a discontinued compact GuardPLC 1800 safety controller developed by Rockwell Automation, built for SIL 3 compliant machine and process safety automation. It integrates 24 non-electrically isolated 24VDC digital inputs and 8 digital outputs, forming a 32-point integrated I/O unit that eliminates external expansion modules for small-scale safety control. Distinct from standard PLCs, two output channels (channel 4 and channel 8) support up to 1A continuous current at 60°C, while the remaining six outputs carry 0.5A each, enabling direct drive of high-power field loads without auxiliary relays. It incorporates two 24-bit resolution high-speed counters with a maximum input frequency of 100kHz, supporting precise tracking of rotary encoder signals for motion safety interlock. Powered by 24VDC industrial power with an 8A rated supply requirement, it mandates slow-blow fuse protection to prevent surge damage to internal circuits. The controller is equipped with native Modbus RTU and GuardPLC Ethernet protocols, allowing seamless data exchange with mainstream Rockwell automation hosts and third-party field devices. It carries 250KB user program memory for storing safety logic, diagnostic routines and fault recording data. Certified by UL, CSA and CE, it operates stably between 0°C and 60°C and withstands industrial electromagnetic interference per IEC 61000-6-2 standards. Adopting panel-mounted compact housing, it fits cramped control cabinets for packaging, material handling and robotic safety scenarios. Officially discontinued, it is only available as original surplus or refurbished spare parts for legacy system maintenance, with no new official production.
