Description
MOTOROLA MVME162-403 single-board computer module
Processor performance: It adopts a 32MHz MC68040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor, featuring 8KB cache, MMU (Memory Management Unit), and FPU (Floating-point Unit). This enables it to handle complex algorithms and real-time tasks quickly, providing strong computing support for the efficient operation of the system.
Memory performance: It is usually equipped with 4MB of shared DRAM as standard, supporting expansion up to 16MB. Some models can be increased to 64MB by expanding the mezzanine, which can meet the memory capacity requirements of different applications. Meanwhile, it is equipped with 512KB of SRAM with a spare battery, which can ensure that key data is not lost in case of power failure, guaranteeing the security and stability of system data.
Storage and interface performance:
In terms of storage: It is equipped with 1MB of built-in Flash memory for storing on-board monitors, debuggers or user-installed firmware. Some models have a flash memory capacity of 2MB. It also supports EPROM and Flash expansion, allowing users to increase the storage capacity according to their actual needs to store more programs and data.
In terms of communication interfaces: It provides 4 serial communication ports, including EIA-232 and EIA-422/485 standards, which can meet different serial communication requirements and facilitate data transmission and communication with other devices. It features 4 IndustryPack® interfaces, each with a DMA channel, which can conveniently connect various IndustryPack modules to achieve functional expansions such as I/O control, analog and digital signal processing. In addition, a SCSI bus interface can be optionally equipped, featuring a 32-bit local bus burst DMA, which can be used to connect external storage devices or other SCSI devices to achieve high-speed transmission of large-capacity data. An optional Ethernet transceiver interface is available, featuring a 32-bit local bus DMA for convenient access to the Ethernet network and the realization of network communication functions.
Bus and scalability: Compatible with the VME bus standard, supports A32/D64 master/slave interfaces, has strong data transmission capabilities, and can perform high-speed data interaction with other VME bus devices. It is equipped with a four-level requester, a seven-level interrupter and an interrupt handler, which can effectively handle various interrupt events, ensuring the real-time responsiveness of the system. Moreover, functional modules can be added through expansion slots, facilitating users to expand functions according to specific application scenarios. It has good scalability and compatibility.
