Interface:
Serial communication port: Two serial communication ports are provided. The console port is EIA-232-D DTE. The second port can be configured by the user as EIA-232-D/EIA-422 (V.36) DTE/DCE.
IndustryPack interface: It features four 16-bit or 32-bit IndustryPack® ports, each with a DMA channel.
Other interfaces: Optional SCSI bus interface with 32-bit local bus burst DMA; Optional Ethernet transceiver interface with 32-bit local bus DMA; There is a 32-pin PLCC EPROM socket.

Factory automation production line control: On the production line of an automotive manufacturing plant, the MVME162-512 can be used to control the movement of robots, the speed of the production line’s conveyor belt, and the coordinated operation of various production equipment. Power system automation: In the substation automation system, MVME162-512 serves as the core controller, capable of achieving high-precision sampling of electrical parameters such as voltage and current, performing protection logic operations, and interacting with the superior dispatching center through a remote communication interface for data exchange. For instance, when abnormal current or voltage fluctuations are detected in the power grid, it can promptly make a judgment and issue corresponding control instructions, such as controlling the opening and closing of circuit breakers, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system.
Chemical process monitoring and control: In the chemical production process, MVME162-512 can be used to monitor and control various chemical reaction vessels, conveying pipelines and other equipment. It collects various parameters in the chemical production process in real time by connecting sensors such as temperature, pressure and flow rate, and analyzes and calculates based on these data to precisely control the temperature, pressure and material conveying volume of the reaction vessel, ensuring that the chemical production process is carried out under safe and stable conditions. Automation control in the metallurgical industry: In the blast furnace ironmaking process of steel plants, the MVME162-512 can be used to monitor key parameters such as furnace temperature, furnace pressure, and raw material discharge volume of the blast furnace. Through real-time monitoring and analysis of these parameters, the air volume of the blower, the proportion of raw materials, and the time of iron and slag removal are automatically adjusted to achieve stable operation and efficient production of the blast furnace. In addition, on the steel rolling production line, it can also be used to control parameters such as the speed and rolling force of the rolling mill to ensure the rolling quality of steel.
