Performance characteristics
Precise speed control: The rated speed control is 11,450Hz. Four speed ranges can be set through a 4-pole micro switch, which can precisely match the speed requirements of different devices. The actuator compensation has time constant compatibility ranging from 0 to 500ms and can be adjusted according to the actual situation to ensure the stability and accuracy of speed control.
Flexible load distribution: As a controller of the 2301A series for speed and load distribution control, it can be used in conjunction with diesel or gas engines, steam or gas turbines, etc. It can achieve reasonable load distribution in a multi-unit system and ensure the stable operation of the system.
Optional deceleration ramp: It is equipped with an optional deceleration ramp function. The ramp time from rated speed to idle speed is 20 seconds. If this function is not selected, the speed change will occur instantly. It can be flexibly selected according to the actual application scenario to meet the deceleration requirements of different equipment.
Multiple working modes: It can be used in forward or reverse action application scenarios and can be used in conjunction with single or series actuators. In the reverse action system, when the voltage drops, the actuator will require more fuel to adapt to different types of engine control systems.
Improve protection functions: It has a starting fuel limit function, which can limit the maximum fuel supply when the engine starts, reducing pollution and engine wear. It also has a speed sensor fault protection function. When the speed signal malfunctions, the control output can be turned off through a specific method (such as disconnecting the contact) to prevent abnormal operation of the system.
Strong power supply adaptability: There are two models, high-voltage and low-voltage systems. The high-voltage model has a power supply of 90-150Vdc or 88-132Vac, 45-440Hz, while the low-voltage model has a power supply of 20-40Vdc, which can adapt to different power supply environments.
Easy installation and maintenance: The shell is coated with glossy powder and weighs approximately 1.8kg, which is relatively lightweight. And it adopts detachable rear screw terminal blocks that are easy to install, facilitating wiring and maintenance.

In some factory-owned power stations, there are multiple diesel generators operating in parallel. The Woodward 9900-430 can precisely control the engine speed of each generator. Through the load distribution function, it automatically adjusts the output power of each generator based on the real-time power load of the factory, ensuring that each generator operates within the high-efficiency range while guaranteeing the stability and reliability of power supply.
Gas turbine power generation scenario: In small gas turbine power plants, the 9900-430 can monitor the rotational speed of the gas turbine and maintain it near the rated speed. When the load of the power grid changes, the controller can respond quickly.
