Description
760-P1-S5-HI-A10-G-T GE 760 series digital feed protection relay
Comprehensive Protection Functions
- Overcurrent Protection: Equipped with two-phase Time Overcurrent (TOC) elements and Instantaneous Overcurrent (IOC) elements, each phase integrated with a level detector. The TOC elements allow setting pickup current levels for tripping, alarming, or control, with 15 curve shapes selectable, as well as curve multipliers, instantaneous/linear reset time characteristics, and voltage limiting functions. The IOC elements support setting pickup current, action time delay, and the minimum number of phases required for operation.
- Ground Fault Protection: For solidly grounded and low-impedance grounded distribution systems, ground fault protection is provided via Neutral IOC & TOC and Ground IOC & TOC. Directional elements can supervise ground overcurrent protection to isolate faulty feeders in scenarios like ring busbars or parallel feeders.
- Sensitive Ground and Restricted Ground Fault Protection: Enables sensitive detection of ground faults, including two-stage protection (instantaneous 50N and time-delay 51N), with directional monitoring to distinguish between forward and reverse faults. The dual-polarization (current and voltage) design ensures higher safety and reliability.
- Voltage Protection: Features overvoltage/undervoltage protection, triggering tripping or alarming when voltage exceeds the specified setting for a certain period. It also includes negative sequence voltage elements for detecting system imbalance and neutral displacement voltage elements for identifying ground faults by calculating zero-sequence voltage (3V0).
Strong Communication Capabilities
- Multiple Communication Ports: May include a front-panel RS232 port for local configuration, debugging, and troubleshooting, supporting ModBus RTU protocol. Dual rear RS485/RS422 ports enable connection to SCADA systems, etc., supporting ModBus RTU and DNP3.0 Level 2 protocols. An optional Ethernet port may be available, supporting ModBus TCP/IP and DNP3.0 network protocols with 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation.
- Multi-Protocol Support: Supports protocols such as ModBus RTU, ModBus TCP/IP, and DNP3.0 Level 2, facilitating communication and data interaction with different devices. The communication system allows simultaneous communication through all ports.
Other Practical Functions
- Event Recording and Time Synchronization: Equipped with Sequence of Events (SOE) function with high-precision timestamp (≤1ms) for accurate recording of event sequences and timestamps, aiding in fault analysis. It may support IRIG-B time synchronization to ensure time accuracy.
- Built-in Metering Function: Achieves precise built-in metering without auxiliary metering devices, reducing costs. It also enables comprehensive metering, including demand and energy metering, to assist in energy management and equipment operation monitoring.
- Waveform Capture and Data Logging: Supports waveform capture and data logging, recording electrical waveforms during faults to provide detailed information for fault troubleshooting and analysis, reducing troubleshooting time and maintenance costs.
Excellent Structural and Environmental Adaptability
- Drawer-Type Structure: May adopt a drawer-type structure for easy installation and replacement, minimizing downtime for module replacement.
- Wide Temperature Range: Operates in a broad temperature range (e.g., -40°C to 85°C), adapting to different environmental temperature conditions.
- Optional Conformal Coating: Can be equipped with a conformal coating for chemical corrosion and humid environments, extending service life and suitable for harsh conditions in industries like oil and gas.
