Description
ABB 216AB61 digital output unit
Functional characteristics
Output control function: It has 32 output terminals, which are used to control the relays of the output auxiliary relay assembly, enabling flexible control of external devices. There are also 8 output terminals, specifically designed for two-pole control auxiliary trip relays, which can meet the control requirements of different types of equipment.
Input monitoring function: Equipped with 16 digital input terminals, it is used to input signals from auxiliary relay components. Each two input terminals can be respectively used to enable and prevent tripping from the outside, facilitating flexible control and protection of the system.
Status indication function: The front panel is equipped with an LED to indicate the activated relays, which can visually display the working status of the equipment, facilitating the operator’s monitoring and troubleshooting.

Technical parameters
Output channels: There are a total of 32 output terminals for controlling auxiliary relays and 8 output terminals for controlling auxiliary trip relays, which can simultaneously control multiple external devices.
Input channels: 16 digital input terminals, capable of receiving external signals to achieve flexible control and monitoring of the output.
Signal type: Processes digital signals, can convert digital signals into binary output signals, and control the on-off and other states of external devices.
The 216AB61 is typically applied in the generator protection, control and monitoring of power systems, and it is an important component for the REG216 digital generator protection module to achieve digital signal output control and interaction with external devices.
