Functional characteristics
Connection function: As a module terminal unit, it serves as a connection bridge between the on-site wiring and the I/O module in the ABB S800 I/O system. It can reliably transmit the signals of on-site devices to the I/O module to achieve signal acquisition and output of control instructions.
ModuleBus allocation: It includes some ModuleBuses, which can be allocated to the connected I/O modules and the next MTU to ensure smooth communication between each module and achieve distributed control of the system.
Address generation: By shifting the output position signal to the next MTU, the correct address is generated for the I/O module, which helps the system accurately identify and address each I/O module, ensuring the normal operation of the entire control system.
