Functional characteristics
Channel configuration: Supports 8 independent analog output channels, each channel can simultaneously output different signals, meeting the requirements of multi-device collaborative control.
Output accuracy: Reach ±0.05% of span (typical value) to ensure the accuracy of signal conversion. For example, in the temperature control scenario, the error of the control signal can be controlled within a very small range to ensure the stability of process parameters.
Update rate: The single-channel update rate can reach 1000Hz (1kHz), which can quickly respond to the command changes of the control system and is suitable for scenarios that require real-time adjustment (such as motor speed control and real-time adjustment of valve opening).
Synchronous output capability: Supports multi-channel signal synchronous refreshing, avoiding the problem of inconsistent equipment actions caused by output timing differences. For example, in a multi-pump linkage fluid control system, it ensures that the start and stop or power regulation of each pump is carried out synchronously.
Channel isolation: Electrical isolation of ≥500Vrms is adopted between each output channel to prevent crosstalk between channels and protect the module from external device failures (such as abnormal grounding and voltage surges).
Anti-interference performance: Common mode rejection ratio ≥120dB (DC to 60Hz), which can effectively suppress electromagnetic interference in industrial sites (such as interference generated by the start and stop of frequency converters and motors), ensure the purity of the output signal, and prevent misoperation of the actuator.
Self-diagnostic function: Equipped with a real-time fault detection circuit, it can monitor abnormal conditions such as open channels, short circuits, and signal out-of-range situations, and issue alarms through module indicator lights or system communication interfaces. For instance, when the output circuit is disconnected, the system can immediately prompt maintenance personnel to troubleshoot the circuit.
Fail-safe mode: Supports user-defined fail-safe output values (such as maintaining the final valid value or outputting preset safety values), ensuring that the equipment remains in a safe state (such as keeping the valve currently open or automatically closing) when a module or system fails, to prevent production accidents.
Software programmability: Through the Ovation system software or dedicated configuration tools, the output range, measurement unit (such as the engineering quantity corresponding to pressure and temperature), fault response mode, etc. of each channel can be flexibly set without hardware jumpering, simplifying the debugging process.
System compatibility: Seamlessly integrated into Emerson Ovation control systems, and can also be connected to third-party PLC and DCS systems via standard communication protocols (such as Modbus), suitable for both new and old system renovation scenarios.
