Description
Emerson 5X00119G01 thermal resistance input card
Main functions
Temperature measurement: Supports Pt100, Ni100 and other thermal resistance sensors. By taking advantage of the characteristic that the resistance of thermal resistance sensors changes with temperature, precise temperature measurement is achieved. For instance, the resistance of the Pt100 sensor is 100 ohms at 0°C, with a variation of approximately 0.385 ohms per degree Celsius. By measuring the change in its resistance, the corresponding temperature value can be obtained.
Signal conversion: The resistance variation of the thermal resistance sensor is converted into an electrical signal, and through signal conditioning and analog-to-digital conversion (ADC), the analog signal is transformed into a digital signal for transmission to the control system (such as PLC or DCS) for processing.
Multi-channel input: It usually includes multiple input channels, each of which can be connected to a separate RTD sensor, enabling simultaneous monitoring of temperatures at multiple points. It is suitable for scenarios in large-scale industrial applications where multi-point temperature monitoring is required.
Application field
Industrial manufacturing: It is used to monitor and control the temperature at key points on the production line, such as mechanical equipment and furnace temperature control systems, which helps to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Energy management: In power plants, oil and gas extraction and processing facilities, etc., the temperature of important equipment such as boilers, combustion equipment, and generators can be monitored to ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment.
Water treatment and supply: Applied in water treatment plants and water supply systems, it monitors the temperature of heating systems, cooling towers, reaction tanks, etc., to ensure the efficiency of the treatment process and the quality of the effluent.
Chemical engineering and pharmaceuticals: In the chemical engineering and pharmaceutical industries, it can help control the rate of chemical reactions, product quality and safety. For instance, in the temperature-sensitive reaction stages of the drug production process, precise temperature measurement is crucial for the purity and efficacy of drugs
