Description

GE  VMIVME-4116  Analog output board

Functional characteristics
Channels and resolution: 8 channels, 16-bit resolution digital-to-analog converter (DAC), performing digital-to-analog conversion on 16-bit positive true offset binary or binary complement words.
Output range and accuracy: The analog output range is -10V to + 10V, and the resolution can reach 305µV/1LSB variation.
Stabilization time: The buffered output voltage can be stabilized to within 1/2LSB within 10µs.

Output features: Buffered voltage output, with a current of 5mA at ±10V, and the output is set to 0.0V upon power-on. It is equipped with a highly reliable DIN type output connector.
Data transmission: Data can be written to one of the eight Dacs by byte or word (through data bits D00 to D15). Bipolar operation (-10V to + 10V output) uses offset binary encoding or binary complement encoding.

Control and Status Register: The processor can load a Control and status register (CSR) to control the functions of the board card and can read this register at any time.
Test function: It can be used in conjunction with other VMIC boards and AMX bus backplanes for extensive fault detection and isolation. Any one of the eight DAC outputs can be used for loop testing to test the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) board. In test mode, the eight DAC outputs can be isolated from the P3 output connector without affecting the devices connected by the user.
