Working Principle:

 

  • Compliance with Ethernet Standards: This module supports the IEEE 802.3 standard, which is one of the core standards for Ethernet. It defines the working methods of the physical layer and data link layer, ensuring compatibility with other network devices that conform to this standard and enabling seamless integration into existing Ethernet infrastructures.
  • Data Frame Transmission: Ethernet transmits data through frames. When the TK-FTEB01 module transmits data, it encapsulates the data into Ethernet frames. Each frame contains information such as the MAC address of the target device, the MAC address of the source device, data payload, and a Frame Check Sequence (FCS) for verification. The receiving end determines whether to accept the frame based on the destination MAC address in the frame and uses the FCS to check if the data has errors during transmission.
  • Medium Access Control: Early Ethernet adopted the Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection (CSMA/CD) protocol to manage data transmission on shared media. Although modern Ethernet mostly uses full-duplex mode and switches, which can basically avoid data transmission collisions, in principle, if the TK-FTEB01 module works in half-duplex mode, it will first “listen” for other signals on the line before sending data. If the line is idle, it starts transmitting data; if the line is busy, it waits until the line is available. If a collision occurs during transmission, the module detects this situation, sends a jam signal, and then retries after a random period of time.
  • Fiber Optic Interface Transmission: The TK-FTEB01 module is equipped with a fiber optic interface and uses optical fiber as the transmission medium. Optical fiber transmits data through optical signals, featuring lower signal attenuation and higher bandwidth, making it suitable for long-distance and high-speed data transmission. The module converts electrical signals into optical signals for transmission through the fiber optic interface and can convert received optical signals into electrical signals, realizing high-speed and low-latency data transmission with other devices, which meets the needs of real-time monitoring and control in industrial sites.

In industrial automation systems, it can convert data collected by I/O modules into a data format compliant with Ethernet protocols and send it to other devices such as controllers and monitoring computers via Ethernet; at the same time, it can receive data such as control commands from the network, convert them, and send them to the corresponding I/O modules, thereby achieving reliable data transmission and communication between various devices in the system.
