Processor performance: Based on the enhanced 32-bit microprocessor MC68040, the main frequency can be selected as 25MHz or 32MHz. It is equipped with an 8KB cache, memory management unit (MMU), and floating-point operation unit (FPU), capable of efficiently handling complex algorithms and real-time tasks.
Memory and storage: Standard 4MB shared DRAM, expandable to 16MB, some models can be increased to 64MB by expanding the mezzanine. It also has 512KB of SRAM with a spare battery to ensure that data is not lost in case of power failure. It is equipped with 1MB of built-in Flash memory, supports EPROM and Flash expansion, and has a JEDEC standard 32-pin PLCC EPROM socket for convenient storage of system firmware and user programs.
Interface type: It is equipped with 4 serial communication ports, including the EIA-422/485 standard interface. One of the dual-wire RS485 ports can connect 32 8 series IEDs in a Daisy chain together. It also has 4 MVIP IndustryPack interfaces, allowing for flexible configuration of functions such as I/O. In addition, optional SCSI bus interface or local area network Ethernet transceiver interface are available to meet the connection requirements of different devices.
Bus features: Compatible with the VME bus standard, supports A32/D64 master/slave interfaces, has four levels of requesters, seven levels of interrupters and interrupt handling programs, and can add functional modules through expansion slots, with strong expandability.
Timer configuration: It features multiple programmable timers, including 4 32-bit programmable timers and a programmable watchdog timer, which helps with the system’s timing control and fault monitoring.
Environmental adaptability: The operating temperature range is -40 °C to + 85°C, the relative humidity is 5% to 95% (without condensation), and the seismic performance complies with the MIL-STD-810 standard. It can operate stably in harsh industrial environments.
Power supply requirements: Support wide-range DC input of + 5V and ±12V, with a typical power consumption of 24W, meeting the power supply requirements of distributed control architectures.
Application scenario: It can be applied in the power system and serve as the core controller of the substation automation system.
