Processor
It is equipped with a 32MHz MC68040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor as standard, featuring an 8KB cache, MMU (Memory Management Unit), and FPU (Floating-point Unit).
Optional 25MHz MC68040 32-bit microprocessor, with 8KB cache, MMU and FPU.
Optional 25MHz MC68LC040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor with 8KB cache and MMU.
Memory:
Usually, shared DRAM of 4MB, 8MB or 16MB is available for selection.
Equipped with 512KB of SRAM with a spare battery, it is used to retain critical data in case of power failure.

Storage
It is equipped with 1MB of built-in flash memory for storing on-board monitors, debuggers or user-installed firmware.
It has 8K x 8 NVRAM and a real-time clock with battery backup.
Interface:
Serial communication port: Two serial communication ports are provided. The console port is EIA-232-D DTE. The second port can be configured by the user as EIA-232-D/EIA-422 (V.36) DTE/DCE.
IndustryPack interface: It features four 16-bit or 32-bit IndustryPack® ports, each with a DMA channel.

Other interfaces: Optional SCSI bus interface with 32-bit local bus burst DMA; Optional Ethernet transceiver interface with 32-bit local bus DMA; There is also a 32-pin PLCC EPROM socket.
Bus: Compatible with the VME bus standard, supports A32/D64 master/slave interfaces, and is equipped with four levels of requesters, seven levels of interrupters and interrupt handlers.

Timer: It has six 32-bit timers (four not via the VME bus) and watchdog timers.
Other functions: Equipped with remote reset/stop/status control function, on-board debugger and diagnostic firmware.
