Description
Bently 3500/42M acceleration monitoring module
Overview
The 3500/42M module is a part of the 3500 series monitoring system, mainly used to measure the acceleration of rotating machinery. By analyzing and processing the acceleration signal, it can monitor the vibration status of the machine, providing an important basis for the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of the equipment.
Functional characteristics
Multiple measurement functions: In addition to directly measuring acceleration, it can also derive and calculate parameters such as vibration velocity and vibration displacement from the acceleration signal through internal algorithms, providing rich data support for a comprehensive assessment of the vibration state of the equipment.
High-precision measurement: By adopting advanced sensor technology and signal processing algorithms, it features high measurement accuracy, capable of accurately capturing minute vibration changes in equipment. The acceleration measurement accuracy typically reaches ± 1%FS (full scale) or even higher.
Wide frequency response: It has excellent frequency response characteristics, with an effective frequency range typically from 5 to 1000Hz. It can accurately measure vibration signals of different frequencies, effectively monitoring both low-frequency foundation vibrations and high-frequency gearbox vibrations, etc.
Flexible alarm Settings: Users can flexibly set the alarm thresholds for each channel through the software according to their actual needs, including warning and dangerous values for acceleration, speed and displacement. Meanwhile, the alarm delay time can also be set to avoid false alarms caused by brief vibration fluctuations.
Rich output interfaces: It provides multiple output interfaces, including analog outputs (such as 4-20mA current signals, 0-10V voltage signals) and digital outputs (such as communication protocols like RS-485, Profibus-DP, Modbus, etc.), facilitating connection and integration with other control systems or monitoring devices. Realize remote monitoring and data transmission. In addition, it is equipped with a relay output, which can be used to trigger an alarm or protection action when the vibration value exceeds the threshold.
It is widely applied to the vibration monitoring of rotating mechanical equipment in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, power, metallurgy and papermaking, such as steam turbines, compressors, motors and pumps. By real-time monitoring of vibration parameters such as acceleration, velocity and displacement of the equipment, potential fault hazards of the equipment can be detected in a timely manner, providing strong support for preventive maintenance of the equipment, thereby improving the reliability and operational efficiency of the equipment, and reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
