Description
The ABB EI813F with part number 3BDH000022R1 is a compact rack-mounted copper Ethernet interface module in the ABB Freelance AC 800F EI series, designed for low-speed stable wired network access, complementing high-speed and fiber-based peer modules. It adopts a single standard RJ45 port complying with IEEE 802.3 10Base-T protocol, fixed at 10Mbps half-duplex transmission without auto-negotiation, with a maximum transmission distance of 100 meters via Category 3 twisted-pair cables. Powered by 5V DC AC800F rack backplane, it has a typical power consumption of 1.9W and built-in overcurrent, overvoltage and short-circuit protection circuits to resist instantaneous power surges in industrial cabinets. With physical dimensions of 88mm × 48mm × 23mm and a net weight of 0.15kg, it features a slim streamlined structure to save rack slot space compared with EI803F. Two front-panel LED indicators independently display power run status and Ethernet link activity, supporting one-click on-site fault judgment for packet loss, link disconnection and duplex mismatch without Freelance configuration software. It adopts double-layer PCB shielding design, meeting IEC 61000-6-2 industrial EMC standards to suppress interference from nearby inverters and power transformers. It has an extended industrial temperature range from -25°C to 70°C, storage temperature from -40°C to 85°C, and tolerates 5%-95% non-condensing humidity with IP20 indoor protection. It supports hot swapping when the AC800F system CPU load is below 35% to avoid full DCS downtime. It supports up to 32 concurrent network node access and DMA direct memory access, cutting CPU occupancy below 4% during data transmission. Manufactured in Sweden with CE, UL and RoHS certifications, it is widely deployed in low-bandwidth process scenarios such as water supply monitoring and auxiliary power control for legacy AC800F system upgrades.
