Description
The Allen‑Bradley 1753-L32BBBM is a base-model compact safety controller from Rockwell Automation’s GuardPLC 1800 lineup, the core base unit without extended terminal accessories compared to the 1753-L32BBBM-8A variant. It maintains identical core safety performance certified to SIL 3 and PL d standards for machine safety and process interlock control across industrial sites. The unit integrates 24 non-isolated 24VDC sinking digital inputs and 8 relay-type digital outputs, designed for direct connection with proximity sensors, safety light curtains and emergency stop switches without signal conversion relays. It adopts an IP20 compact panel-mounted enclosure with overall dimensions of 114mm × 257mm × 80mm and a net weight of 1.2kg, fitting standard thin industrial control cabinets with limited installation space. Powered by regulated 24VDC external power with an 8A peak current demand, it requires overcurrent fuse protection to withstand industrial power surge interference. It supports dual mainstream communication protocols: Modbus RTU for serial wired connection and native GuardPLC protocol for peer-to-peer safety interlocking between multiple GuardPLC controllers. It carries 250KB non-volatile user memory to store safety logic programs, fault diagnosis logs and safety parameter configurations, retaining data after power failure. Compliant with CE, c-UL-US and C-Tick industrial certifications, it operates stably within 0°C to 60°C and meets IEC 61000 series electromagnetic compatibility standards for factory environments with inverters and high-power motors. Officially discontinued by Rockwell, this base model is only supplied as original surplus and refurbished spare parts, exclusively for maintenance and replacement of legacy GuardPLC 1800 safety control systems.
