Lower hardware generation: Equipped with older C-series CPU and first-generation F8A/M8C acquisition boards; the maximum supported firmware version is V3.5 or older legacy versions.
Simplified software functions
It does not support IEC 61850, GOOSE, PRP redundancy and PMU synchrophasor measurement; only Modbus communication is available.
Advanced functions including enhanced fault recording diagnosis, trip circuit supervision and full CyberSentry cybersecurity suite are not available.
Simplified mounting and human-machine interface: Horizontal rack installation with ordinary monochrome screen, without high-definition color operation panel.
Reduced I/O capacity: No circuit supervision for output contacts, and no additional 6-channel extended control outputs.
It features lower cost, suitable for small generating units, renovation of old power stations and scenarios without digital networking requirements.

- Medium and small steam turbine, hydro turbine and waste heat generating units with a capacity of 10–30 MW
- Renovation of aging power plants that only require conventional four-remote functions without digital IEC 61850 process bus
- Small captive power plants in chemical and metallurgical industries with simple control logic and no demand for dual-network redundancy
- Scenarios that only need conventional protections such as differential protection, earth fault protection, overcurrent and loss-of-excitation protection, without advanced functions of PMU and intelligent fault recording
