Processor performance: Based on the enhanced 32-bit microprocessor MC68040, the main frequency can be selected as 25MHz or 32MHz. It is equipped with an 8KB cache, memory management unit (MMU), and floating-point operation unit (FPU), which can efficiently handle complex algorithms and real-time tasks, meeting the computing requirements of various industrial scenarios.
Memory and storage: Usually comes with 4MB shared DRAM as standard, supporting expansion up to 16MB. Some models can be increased to 64MB by expanding the mezzanine. It is equipped with 512KB of SRAM with a spare battery to ensure that data is not lost after power failure. It also has a built-in 1MB Flash memory for storing system firmware, etc., and supports EPROM and Flash expansion.
Interface type: It provides 4 serial communication ports, including EIA-232 and EIA-422/485 standards. It features 4 IndustryPack interfaces and can flexibly configure functions such as I/O. In addition, it can be optionally equipped with a SCSI bus interface and an Ethernet transceiver interface, which can adapt to multiple industrial protocols and facilitate connection and communication with other devices.
Bus and Scalability: Compatible with the VME bus standard, supports A32/D64 master/slave interfaces, and features four levels of requesters, seven levels of interrupters, and interrupt handlers. Functional modules can be added by expanding the slots. Up to 4 single-width or 2 double-width IndustryPack modules can also be installed, facilitating flexible expansion of system functions according to requirements.
Environmental adaptability: The operating temperature range is -40 °C to + 85°C, and the relative humidity is 5% to 95% (without condensation). The seismic performance complies with the MIL-STD-810 standard. With industrial-grade components and a three-proof coating process, it can operate stably in harsh industrial environments.
Other features: It has six 32-bit timers (four of which are independent of VMEbus) and watchdog timers, which are helpful for the execution of system scheduled tasks and system stability monitoring. It is equipped with remote RESET/ABORT. There is a debugger and diagnostic firmware on the board, which facilitates the debugging and maintenance of the system.
