Powerful processing capabilities: Typically equipped with the MC68040 microprocessor, featuring a floating-point coprocessor with a main frequency option of 25MHz or 32MHz, and equipped with an 8KB cache, MMU (Memory Management Unit), and FPU (Floating-point operation unit), it can meet the processing requirements of complex algorithms and real-time tasks.
Reliable memory design: Equipped with 512KB SRAM with a spare battery, it ensures the integrity of critical data in case of power failure. At the same time, there are 1MB, 4MB or 8MB parity check protection DRAM for storing data and programs, ensuring the accuracy and stability of data storage.
Rich storage functions: Built-in 1MB flash memory, which can store on-board monitors, debuggers or user-installed firmware. There is also 8K x 8 NVRAM and a real-time clock with a spare battery, providing non-volatile storage and precise time and date information.
Diverse communication interfaces: An optional LAN Ethernet transceiver interface with DMA is provided for high-speed data transmission. It has two serial ports (EIA-232-D and EIA-232-D/EIA-530), supports multiple communication protocols, and can conveniently conduct serial communication with other devices. It can also be optionally equipped with a SCSI bus interface, featuring a 32-bit local bus burst DMA, which facilitates the connection of external storage devices or other SCSI devices.
Flexible expansion capability: It is equipped with a VMEbus interface, supporting the connection from local bus to VMEbus/VMEbus to local bus. It has bus widths of A16/A24/A32 and D8/D16/D32, as well as a VMEbus system controller. It can be expanded to connect to other VME devices through the VMEbus. It provides four IndustryPack® interfaces, which can be connected to various IndustryPack modules to expand functions such as I/O control, analog and digital signal processing, etc.
Precise timing and counting functions: Equipped with six tick timers with watchdog timers, it can be used for precise time measurement and event triggering, meeting the high-precision requirements for timing and counting in industrial automation.
Good environmental adaptability: The operating temperature range is -40 °C to + 85°C, the relative humidity is 5% to 95% (without condensation), the seismic performance complies with the MIL-STD-810 standard, and it can adapt to harsh industrial environments.
Comprehensive software support: It usually supports multiple operating systems and development environments, such as VxWorks, Linux, etc., facilitating users’ software development and system deployment, and helping to shorten the development cycle and reduce development costs.
